I love novelty toys. Anything you could buy from a joke shop or order from a comic book fascinated me to no end. Imagining the amazing time I’d have playing with a hand buzzer, x-ray specs, or sea monkeys. I still love them all. The cheapness, the seediness of all of it. When I found out pistols with flags that said “bang” weren’t just in cartoons I needed one. Though the flag isn’t on little stick that pops out to unfurl the flag like in Looney Tunes.
